MOSCOW, October 7 Head coach of the Russia 25 national team Roman Rotenberg thanked the head of the Russian Hockey Federation (RFH) Vladislav Tretyak and members of the coaching council for the decision to send the team to the Channel One Cup.
The First Channel Cup will be held in St. Petersburg from December 14 to 17. The Russia 25 team will perform under the leadership of Rotenberg. The teams of Belarus, Kazakhstan and China will also take part in the tournament.

Russian national teams have been suspended from competitions under the auspices of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) due to the situation in Ukraine.
