In other regions of the Russian Federation, the “average temperature in a hospital” in terms of teacher salaries is 40 thousand rubles. per month. True, in reality, many teachers do not agree with Rosstat.

Not everyone in the capital also agrees with the data on their salaries announced in statistical reports.

“I’ll give you an example,” says Alla Ivanovna, a former language arts teacher at one of the schools in the east of the capital. — You are a journalist. And they tell you that you get 100 thousand, without saying that for this you still need to write a hundred articles a month, and that’s more than three per day, including weekends. A lot also depends on the personality of the teacher himself and his relationship with management. If someone is not lazy to build relationships with his superiors so that he is thrown only into fertile areas, he will live better.

There are plenty of ways to both support the teacher and to push him down. Everything is in the hands of the director and head teacher. But they can also be suppressed from above if they do not build useful connections there either. Vertical, in general. It's a shame that many teachers transfer the same attitude to children. They take out their own grievances on them.

There is also a kind of “incentive bonus” — these are like incentive points for merits such as your student’s victory in the Olympiad, for working on weekends — that is, at extracurricular activities, traveling with children during the holidays, and so on. But the more teachers are active, the smaller the size of this “stimulation”. After all, it is paid from a fund with a fixed amount, and the size of this bonus is not precisely established.

Therefore, the more teachers are active, the lower the bonus for each. Again, the school management decides who to reward with a “five”, where each point is worth 300 rubles, and who with a “four”, where each point is 100 rubles. Well, you can also enlist in the “red tent” — these are nomadic schools in the Far North for the children of nomads. They pay very well there, but you have to move around with the school. But, it seems to me, the conditions there will ruin your health before you get your first increased salary.

This is, perhaps, the general opinion of all Russian teachers surveyed: you can earn more than 100 thousand a month if you work around the clock , leaving neither time nor energy for other areas of life except work. But there is an answer to how a school teacher can live well in Rus', and it’s not just tutoring.

“My friend went to teach Russian children in Delhi, India,” says a teacher of Russian and literature from a Volgograd secondary school. — And I’m very pleased! Judge for yourself: housing is free on the territory of the embassy, ​​the school is well equipped, the classes are normal, since there are many Russian organizations in India and all the children go to the Russian school at the embassy. Payment is partly in local currency for living expenses, and the other part in rubles on a house card, so that there is a reserve upon return. You can bring your family to your home, but they will have to buy tickets at their own expense.

And most importantly, grateful work there! Far from their homeland, as a rule, Russian parents begin to be more sensitive to the teacher and his requests.
