Sentenced to six years in prison in the case of a failed arson of a rural administration building in the Yaroslavl region, Valeria Zotova was sent to a punishment cell. Her mother Svetlana Zotova told 7×7 about this.
Daughters and mothers. Three criminal cases of one Yaroslavl family
According to the woman, she found out about this today, October 8, when she came to the pre-trial detention center with a package for her daughter. The detention center staff did not disclose the reason for the penalty. Assistant Commissioner for Human Rights in the Yaroslavl Region Nikolai Khramov, at the request of Svetlana Zotova, promised to look into it, and later said that “everything is fine” with the girl and she is in the cell. Zotova Sr. believes that Khramov is lying.
A few days ago, the girl’s mother reported that an employee of the detention center named Natalya accused her daughter of driving her cellmate to suicide. The jailer allegedly offered cigarettes to other prisoners in exchange for compromising information on Zotov Jr.
At the end of June, 19-year-old Valeria Zotova was sentenced to six years in prison. According to the prosecution, the girl was going to set fire to a collection point for aid to those mobilized in the village of Karabikha near Yaroslavl (Part 3 of Article 30 of the Criminal Code, Part 1 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code). Before her arrest, she corresponded with a man who called himself Andrey from the SBU, sent flowers and promised 2 thousand dollars for arson.
At the last moment, the girl changed her mind and decided to deceive Andrei — not to set the administration on fire, but to take the money and spend it on a tattoo. She told her plan to her new friend, who was an embedded FSB agent.
