ST. PETERSBURG, October 10. A father accused of murdering his 8-year-old son, who tried to commit suicide, has been arrested, reports the press service of the St. Petersburg prosecutor's office.
Previously, a criminal case was opened into the murder of an 8-year-old child; his father, who decided to commit suicide, became a suspect in the crime. The body of a child with a stab wound, as well as his 45-year-old father with a stab wound, were found by police in an apartment on Sofiyskaya Street.
It is noted that the prosecutor’s office of the Frunzensky district of St. Petersburg, during a mobile court hearing in the hospital, supported the investigator’s request to take the man into custody.
““Taking into account the opinion of the prosecutor, the court granted the investigator’s request and chose a preventive measure against the accused in the form of detention for a period up to 06.12.2023 inclusive,” the message says.
