YEKATERINBURG, October 10 A sixteen-year-old teenager in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, Sverdlovsk region, died from a drug given to him by an acquaintance, the press service of the regional department of the RF IC reported on Tuesday .
According to investigators, the teenager was persuaded to use a potent drug by his 20-year-old friend. After using the drug, the teenager became ill and was urgently hospitalized at a local hospital, where he died on October 6.

“On this fact, a criminal case has been initiated on the grounds of a crime provided for in Part 3 of Article 230 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (inducement to consume narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances, committed against a minor, resulting in the death of the victim through negligence),” the Investigative Committee said. Expertise is being carried out to determine the exact cause of the teenager’s death and to identify the substance that led to his death, the department added.
In turn, the head of the press service of the Sverdlovsk Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Valery Gorelykh, said that he who persuaded the teenager to drink had previously been brought to administrative responsibility under articles related to drugs and intoxication.
«In connection with this addiction, he is registered accordingly. In addition, this young man was previously brought to criminal responsibility for committing robbery. Another eloquent characteristic of this “player of life” is that he is in his 20s has not burdened himself with any socially useful work for years, that is, he has not worked anywhere,” he said.
