In Kibbutz Kfar Aza, where Hamas terrorists killed dozens of people, the bodies of 40 babies and small children were found, Israeli media reported.
The Israeli Defense Forces allowed foreign journalists to visit the kibbutz, and they described the horrors they saw there.
So a Reuters correspondent notes in his report that the journalists “walked along the paths of the kibbutz, where there was a heavy cadaverous smell.” According to her, among the burnt houses lie the bodies of local residents and Hamas militants. Furniture and burnt-out cars are scattered around. Israeli soldiers go from house to house, carrying out the body.
Journalists also quote the words of Israeli Major General Itai Veruv, who admitted that he had never seen anything like this. «You see children, mothers, fathers in bedrooms, in protective rooms… They were killed by terrorists. This is not a war, this is not a battlefield. This is a massacre, this is a terrorist attack,» he said.
i24NEWS TV channel with citing rescuers from the organization ZAKA reported that in total the bodies of 200 Israelis were found in the kibbutz, including about 40 children. The report notes that some of the children killed had their heads cut off.
