LUGANSK, Oct. 9Honored Artist of the Russian Federation, artistic director of the Lugansk Music and Drama Theater on Oboronnaya and People's Artist of the LPR Mikhail Golubovich died at the age of 80, the head of the republic Leonid Pasechnik announced in his Telegram channel.

The head of the LPR noted that for the residents of the republic Golubovich will remain “a model of masculinity, intelligence, optimism and endless devotion to their land,” noting that on the territory of the republic “there is no one who does not know this name.” “A legendary man, an actor and director with world fame, Mikhail Vasilyevich devoted his entire life to the development of the culture of his native land. In August, Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to a decree published on the official Internet portal of legal information, awarded Golubovich the title “Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.”
Golubovich was born on November 21, 1943 in the Poltava region. Graduated from the Kyiv State Institute of Theater Arts. He starred in the films “How the Steel Was Tempered”, “Dirk”, “Walking in Torment”, “Luna Park” and many others.
