Judge Evgenia Nikolaeva of the Basmanny District Court of Moscow arrested lawyer Alexei Liptser in the case of participation in an “extremist community” (Part 2 of Article 282.1 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by a Mediazona correspondent from the courtroom.
Earlier, Nikolaeva sent lawyer Igor Sergunin from the Dalet bar from the pre-trial detention center.

After the morning searches, in addition to Liptser, other lawyers defending Alexei Navalny were detained — Sergunin and Vadim Kobzev. The latter was supposed to be present today during the consideration of two lawsuits filed by the politician against maximum security colony No. 6 in Melekhovo.
The Moscow collegium “Dalet”, where Olga Mikhailova, another lawyer of the oppositionist, is a member, searches took place. Novaya Gazeta, without citing sources, wrote that a search warrant was also issued against Mikhailova herself, but she is not in Russia.
Navalny’s ally Ivan Zhdanov published an excerpt from the case materials regarding the lawyers. The Investigative Committee believes that when they visited the politician in the colony, they passed on information to him for “leading the extremist community.”
