Matvienko congratulated India on landing the station on the Moon

NEW DELHI, Oct 14 .Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko congratulated India on the successful landing of the Indian space station on the Moon and called it a victory for the country's science and technology.
A delegation of the Russian parliament led by Matvienko is visiting India from October 12 to 14 to participate in the parliamentary forum (P20) of the G20 countries.

«The landing of a space station made in India on the Moon is also a huge victory. A victory for India's science and technology. This was demonstrated to the whole world. Congratulations on the success of such a big project,» — said the Speaker of the Federation Council during a meeting with the Speaker of the People's House of the Indian Parliament Om Birla.

Matvienko said that she was “under the impression” after visiting the new building of the Indian Parliament — “it’s grandiose, it’s simply amazing in scale, design, and national flavor.”
“These are not just new working conditions for parliament. This is a sign of great respect for parliament in the country as the main institution of democracy. We congratulate you on your housewarming,” the parliamentarian emphasized.
The robotic space station Chandrayaan-3 was launched into space on July 14 and entered lunar orbit on August 5. The Vikram lander separated from the station on August 17 and performed two orbital reduction operations before successfully landing on the lunar south pole on August 23. On the same day, the Indian lunar rover «Pragyan» left the surface of the Earth's natural satellite. Experiments with the instruments on board continued until September 2, after which scientists reported that the lunar rover had completed its tasks and was put into sleep mode.
