
PARIS, Oct 13 A regime has been introduced in France terrorist threat after an attack on a lyceum where a teacher was killed, Agence France-Presse reported, citing the entourage of Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne.
“The Prime Minister has decided to raise the alert level of the Vigipirate plan to a “terrorist threat,” the media reported, citing the Prime Minister's Office.
The decision was made after an emergency meeting of the Security Council chaired by French President Emmanuel Macron
This threat level occurs immediately after a terrorist attack or when a group identified as a terrorist whose location has not been determined moves into action, the media clarifies.
For the first time, Vigipirate's plan to counter terrorist threats was activated in 1991.
