MOSCOW, October 16 Over 70 units of outdated heavy medical equipment were replaced in the Moscow region, reports the press service of the regional Ministry of Health.
New X-ray machines have been launched in the Khimki branch of the Moscow Regional Clinical Tuberculosis Dispensary, as well as in the Moscow Regional Oncological Dispensary. They were installed to replace outdated analogue equipment, which no longer met modern requirements.
“In the region, in 2022, a program was launched to replace heavy analogue equipment with digital ones. We are talking about outdated X-ray machines, fluorographs and mammographs. During this time, we have already updated 72 units worth almost 1.3 billion rubles,” said the first deputy chairman regional government Svetlana Strigunkova.
According to the press service, the new X-ray complex, which is installed in the Khimki branch of the anti-tuberculosis dispensary, was manufactured in the Russian Federation. It is used to diagnose the respiratory system in outpatients with suspected tuberculosis — adults and children.
“Patients of the Khimki branch have the opportunity to undergo examinations using a new digital X-ray machine and receive a medical report on the day of visiting the dispensary, which will additionally have an impact on reducing morbidity in the city district. In total, six X-ray machines have already been replaced in our dispensary,” noted the head physician Moscow Regional Clinical Tuberculosis Dispensary Sergei Smerdin.
The press service added that at the regional oncology clinic, a new device was installed in the surgical building. It will be used for radiography of bones and chest organs. With the help of this device it is planned to detect metastases and inflammatory changes in the lungs after operations. The studies will be carried out on hospital patients.
Equipment was purchased on behalf of the Governor of the Moscow Region Andrei Vorobyov within the framework of the national project «Healthcare».
