VLADIVOSTOK, October 16 Nine tourists who were seriously injured in an accident with a bus in Primorye are being transported by air ambulance to Vladivostok, the regional government told reporters.
The regional Ministry of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations reported that a tourist bus was traveling from China to Ussuriysk and, having lost control, slid into a ditch. According to various sources, there were about 50 passengers on the bus. The head of the regional tourism agency, Arseny Krepsky, said that there were only Russian tourists on the bus, the driver was a citizen of the People's Republic of China, and the bus belonged to a Chinese company. A criminal case has been initiated into the accident. The regional government reported that two people died in the accident. A source told the agency that the tour was organized by two companies — from the Russian Federation and China. He also said that tourists traveled along the route Ussuriysk — Hunchun — Yanji, some of them left the Russian Federation on October 9, some on October 13.
«After the accident, doctors at the Khasan hospital provided medical assistance to 29 victims, of which 5 people were in serious condition. After providing first aid, 18 people were hospitalized, including one 16-year-old child. Of these, 9 patients now have serious bone injuries delivered to Vladivostok Clinical Hospital No. 2 by air ambulance,» authorities said.
