Also, in her opinion, those who left tried to convince others that they were “not happy with Putin, Shoigu, Solovyov” in Russia, that everything was to blame for aggressive people who contradict their principles — they are supposedly for peace, and the rest are for war.

She recalled that Akhmatova’s ex-husband, Nikolai Gumilev, was shot by the Bolsheviks in 1921, and her son Lev was imprisoned under Stalin, but the poetess “survived all her tormentors, outlived Stalin.”
