MOSCOW, October 16 State Duma deputy Sultan Khamzaev believes that such citizens of the Russian Federation as singer Andrei Makarevich*, showman Maxim Galkin*, actor Mikhail Shats* , comedian Semyon Slepakov*, are subject to criminal investigation for public calls for “unleashing an aggressive war.” The parliamentarian sent an appeal addressed to the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin (available), to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
Earlier, the deputy chairman of the United Russia defense committee, Yuri Shvytkin, submitted a protocol order for the Prosecutor General's Office to conduct an inspection against Ivan Urgant, Mikhail Fridman, Maxim Galkin* and others with a view to discrediting the RF Armed Forces and financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“We see a whole series of statements by Russian citizens, those whom we call relocants, who express their readiness to fight for another country, in every possible way support the actual blockade of Palestine and bullying of the people of Palestine… I believe that the statements of such information aggressors as Makarevich*, Galkin*, Shats*, Slepakov* and others, as are still citizens of the Russian Federation, are subject to (verification) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation Article 354 “public calls for unleashing an aggressive war”… I am sending a corresponding appeal to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation,” Khamzaev said.
According to Article 354 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, public calls to unleash an aggressive war are punishable by a fine of up to three hundred thousand rubles or in the amount of wages or other income of the convicted person for a period of up to two years, or by imprisonment for a term of up to three years.
According to the deputy, if they are citizens of Russia, then their calls for war of one country against another “is a criminal offense.”
«The public is observing another round of crazy antics and statements by individuals who have been abroad for more than a year now, have not yet renounced Russian citizenship, but allow themselves various provocative statements and actions that are clearly not in the interests of Russia and the general peace and order,” the deputy said in his address to Bastrykin.
