MOSCOW, October 17 Head coach of the Russian national football team Valery Karpin never made a team out of the selection of football players he called, he needs to stop fooling everyone by fielding a new squad over and over again, said the best football player of the USSR in 1972, Olympic bronze medalist Evgeniy Lovchev.
The Russian team on Monday, October 16, played a draw with the Kenyan team in a friendly match. The meeting, held in Antalya, Turkey, ended with a score of 2:2.

“Terrible impressions of the game in general — mistakes, lack of a solid game, saving only at the last minute. I’ll say what I said before the match: we need to decide on the lineup, there were enough checks of various options. The national team has not played official matches for two years, and every time we don’t win and play poorly, the fans are very disappointed. This is the main team in the country, it has no right to play like it did against Kenya. So far, I see that we don’t have a team, but we have a set of players who are on the application list,” Lovchev wrote in his Telegram channel.
“I have a specific question — how long will this foolishness continue? Two years have passed, stop checking everyone who has a Russian passport and justify this kind of football. Enough time has passed to make a decision. I’m addressing Karpin specifically: stop fooling us, «By putting different compositions over and over again, everyone is already aware of Russian names in the RPL. It has already reached the point that Golovin comes to the national team and says: “I don’t know everyone by name.” This is logical, because the composition changes all the time,” he added.
According to Lovchev, although the national team has an average composition, these players can also be made into a qualified team due to stability and teamwork, but this is not yet the case.

"We may have an average squad, but these are qualified football players who can become stronger due to the stability of the squad and teamwork. This is not the case here. And when not, what we saw with Kenya will continue. I listen to Karpin all the time, but I hear abrupt answers to any questions. I would like to hear the answer to a simple question — two years have passed since the suspension, and we still haven’t got a team. Why? There is not a national team, but an expanded list — Lovchev summed up.
