MOSCOW, Oct. 18 The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) introduced a ban for Ukrainian banks to process payments from citizens of the country to four Russian online cinemas, reported the Ukrainian publication Strana.ua, citing a document from the financial regulator that was at the disposal of the editors.
“The NBU has prohibited banks from making payments for Ukrainian citizens (to) four Russian online cinemas and streaming services,” says a message published on the publication’s Telegram channel.
The document he published discusses the introduction of a ban on paying for subscriptions to four Russian services: More.TV, Okko, Start and Premier. As journalists note, Kyiv has already banned the use of six Russian platforms: in the summer, restrictions were introduced regarding online cinemas IVI and Tvigle.
