VLADIVOSTOK, October 18The court arrested for 1 month and 29 days a citizen of the People's Republic of China who was driving a bus with tourists involved in an accident in Primorye, said Daria Kashtanova, senior assistant to the regional prosecutor for interaction with the media.
““The Chinese citizen who drove the bus was arrested for 1 month and 29 days,” Kashtanova said.
The court hearing in the Frunzensky Court of Vladivostok lasted more than 4 hours, it began at 18.00 (11.00 Moscow time), the court clarified.
«The arrested person will be kept in the Federal Penitentiary Center No. 1 of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Primorsky Territory until December 16,» the press service of the court added to the agency.
As the Primorye prosecutor's office later clarified, the tourist trip was previously organized by three legal entities registered in Vladivostok and Artem, as well as an individual entrepreneur from Ussuriysk .
A tourist bus traveling from China to Ussuriysk lost control on Monday and slid into a ditch in Primorye. Two people died in the accident; two criminal cases have been opened into the accident.
