In pre-trial detention center No. 1 in Vladimir, where municipal deputy Alexei Gorinov, convicted under the article on military “fakes,” is being held, the heating was turned on during the visit of the chairman of the regional POC Sergei Yazhan. According to Gorinov’s support group, when Yazhan left the isolation ward, the heating was turned off.
The deputy’s associates previously wrote that the chairman of the PMC visited pre-trial detention center-1 on October 13. Gorinov then expressed hope that heating in the cells would now be constant. In the evening, “when the battery became cold again,” the pre-trial detention center staff gave the prisoners only one more thin blanket.
The authors of the community in support of Gorinov also write that Yazhan did not want to visit the deputy while he was in a punishment cell, and “did not touch upon the very practice of groundlessly placing” him in a detention center.
In the summer of 2022, Alexey Gorinov was sentenced to seven years in prison due to an anti-war speech at a meeting of municipal deputies of the Krasnoselsky district of Moscow (clause “d” of part 2 of article 207.3 of the Criminal Code). In custody, FSB officers came to him and asked how he felt about “terrorist and extremist organizations,” and in mid-October it became known that a criminal case had been opened against the deputy for justifying terrorism (Part 1 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code).
