SAMARA, 20 Oct. The Samara District Court of Samara took into custody three adults detained after fights between migrants and teenagers, the court reported.
“A preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen for three adults,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
In total, on Friday the court considered petitions for suppression for five of the seven suspects. A source in the security forces reported that two minors were also arrested.
Later, the court confirmed the source’s information and also reported that the detention period for another minor was extended by 72 hours — until October 23.
According to the investigation, from October 15 to 17, several conflicts occurred in Samara between teenagers and migrants, among of whom were minors and young teenagers. During the brawls, the participants in the fights suffered bodily injuries.
In response to the incident, investigators opened four criminal cases: under Art. 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hooliganism), art. 116 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (beatings), Art. 112 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (intentional infliction of harm to health of moderate severity) and Art. 319 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (insulting a government official). The latest criminal case was opened after videos were posted on social networks with public obscene comments about the incident, in which the governor was mentioned.
