WASHINGTON, Oct. 19 Actor Burt Young, who played Paulie Pennino, friend and brother-in-law of boxer Rocky Balboa, the main character in the Rocky film series, has died at the age of 83. The New York Times reported Wednesday.
«»Burt Young… the actor who… (managed — ed.) to build a fruitful career as a Hollywood tough guy in films such as «Chinatown», «Once Upon a Time in America» and most notably «Rocky» , for which he was nominated for an Oscar, passed away on October 8 in Los Angeles. He was 83,” the publication reported.
The newspaper writes that the actor’s death was confirmed by his daughter Anne Morea Steingieser.
The cause of death has not been reported.
