MOSCOW, Oct. 20 The investigation is asking the Istra City Court of the Moscow Region to arrest the stepson of rock musician Stas Namin, Roman Mikoyan, who is accused of murdering his brother and grandmother, the court reported.
“The court received a request from the investigation to arrest Mikoyan for a period of two months,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
As reported in the RF, Mikoyan named a long-standing family conflict as the motive for the murder of his brother and grandmother.
The bodies of a pensioner and her 30-year-old grandson with stab wounds were found in a private house in the village of Kryukovo, Istrinsky district. During interrogation, Mikoyan told investigators that after a quarrel, he waited until his grandmother fell asleep and killed her. Then he called his brother and asked him to come. He killed him too, and then called the police.
The Investigative Committee charged a 39-year-old man under paragraph “a” of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder of two persons), he may face life imprisonment.
