Dario Amodei of artificial intelligence research company Anthropic argues that AI technology could destroy the world either through fraud or abuse by humans.
He added: "The likelihood is that something going catastrophically wrong on the scale of human civilization could be anywhere from 10 to 25 percent.» But an expert told the technology podcast Logan Bartlett Show: «If we can avoid the downsides, then this is the stuff of cures.» cancer, prolonging human life, solving problems such as mental illness… I don't think it's beyond the scope of what it can do.»
In response, Control AI campaigners told The Sun that firms that thought there was a chance «that their products will kill you all,» were the same ones «who make the decisions when it comes to regulation.» Next month Rishi Sunak will host the world's first security summit dedicated to artificial intelligence, the Daily Mail recalls .
