MOSCOW, Oct. 16The Boris Eifman Ballet Theater will hold a major tour in the United Arab Emirates, Thailand and China from October 18 to December 3, the theater's press service reported.
The tour of the Eifman Ballet Theater will open on October 18 and 19 with performances of the Eifman Gala concert program on the stage of the Dubai Opera. Spectators of the largest city of the United Arab Emirates will see selected fragments from the ballets “Roden, her eternal idol”, “Beyond Sin”, “Red Giselle”, “Tchaikovsky. Pro et Contra”, “The Passion of Moliere”, or The Mask of Don Juan» and other famous productions by Eifman.
On October 21-22, the Theater will give performances in the capital of Thailand for the first time in its 46-year history. Performances of the ballet «Anna Karenina» will conclude the anniversary 25th Bangkok International Dance and Music Festival. The performances will take place at the Cultural Center of Thailand.
From October 6 to December 3, the theater will conduct a six-week tour of China. The St. Petersburg team will visit the cities of Shenzhen, Shanghai, Nanjing, Xi'an, Suzhou and Beijing. The ballets «Anna Karenina» and «Eugene Onegin» will be shown to Chinese dance lovers.
The leading stage venues in China will host the artists. In particular, Shanghai performances will be held within the walls of the Center for Oriental Art, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. In Beijing, the dancers will perform at the Tianqiao Theater, where they have danced with triumph many times.
