MOSCOW, October 23 State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin called on the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in pursuance of the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, not to abuse business inspections.
«Here we need to say thanks to our General Prosecutor's Office — they took a position here. We support them, because in fact, you see that on the one hand, checks that were previously, for example, with the same General Prosecutor's Office somehow were stimulated, now they have stopped and gone more into the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs… It is important that our colleagues from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, for their part, also begin to work effectively, like the Prosecutor General’s Office, prosecutors of the constituent entities, carrying out the instructions of the president… As for business, let them work in peace,” he said at parliamentary hearings in the State Duma on the topic: «Development of small and medium-sized businesses in the Russian Federation: objectives, prospects, legislative support.»
Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin called for the exemption from inspections of businesses that are not associated with high risks for humans; preventive measures are enough to control.
