MOSCOW, October 23 Mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter representing the UAE ) of Chechen origin, Khamzat Chimaev said that he could quickly deal with the champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight, American Sean Strickland.
On Saturday, Chimaev defeated American Kamaru Usman as part of the co-main event of the 294th edition of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) tournament in Abu Dhabi. Earlier, promotion general director Dana White said that the winner of the fight between Usman and Chimaev will fight for the championship title against Strickland. The American said that Chimaev did not deserve a title fight.
““Sean Strickland, you’re next, don’t worry, you know how quickly I can finish you,” Chimaev wrote on the social network X.
The 29-year-old Chimaev has 13 wins in 13 professional mixed martial arts fights . The 32-year-old Strickland has 28 wins and five losses.
