
MOSCOW, October 23 International Rugby Federation (World Rugby) opened an investigation into the racial abuse of England player Tom Curry by black South African player Mbongeni Mbonambi.
On Saturday, the South African team defeated the England team in the semi-final match of the Rugby World Cup. The meeting, held in Saint-Denis, France at the Stade de France, ended with a score of 16:15 (6:12) in favor of the South Africans. During the match, Curry told the referee that Mbonambi had racially abused him. After the match, the Englishman confirmed the conflict with his opponent, but refused to repeat the insult.
