SOCHI, October 24 Operators need to ensure that their subscriber bases are up to date before the end of the current year, said the head of Roskomnadzor Andrei Lipov.
«In accordance with Federal Law 319, this year the service organized monitoring of operators' compliance with subscriber identification requirements, and completed the creation of a special system to which all operators providing mobile communication services are connected,» Lipov said at the Spectr-2023 forum » in Sochi.
«The system ensures verification of subscriber data received from telecom operators, taking into account the information systems of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Federal Tax Service and the Unified System of Identification and Authentication (Unified System of Identification and Authentication — ed.). Telecom operators began to bring their subscriber databases into compliance even before the law came into force. It is necessary to ensure the relevance of subscriber databases by the end of this year,» he said.
Speaking about the creation of telecommunications infrastructure and security in the communications industry, the head of Roskomnadzor took into account new regions of the country where Russian specialists have to work in difficult front-line conditions. Russian systems in other regions, which to this day have refused external pressure, are subject to sanctions, Lipov noted.
