ULAN BATOR, Oct 23 Russia and Mongolia have agreed to create simplified customs corridors and are intensifying work on the creation of a temporary agreement between the EAEU and Mongolia on a free trade zone, she said Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Victoria Abramchenko spoke to journalists following the results of the Russian-Mongolian intergovernmental commission.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the intergovernmental commission has proven the effectiveness of bilateral dialogue built on the principles of mutual respect and development of cooperation; a colossal amount of work has been done.
“»For example, agreements have been reached to begin work towards mutual recognition of the status of an authorized economic operator. Such a mechanism will create “simplified customs corridors,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
In particular, supplies between companies with the status authorized economic operator can be issued by the Federal Customs Service of Russia mainly automatically, that is, without any intervention from customs inspectors.
«We agreed on the development of a bilateral international agreement. Based on the results of the meeting, the commission agreed to intensify the development of a temporary agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union on the creation of a free trade zone,” Abramchenko noted.
