The court sentenced a Siberian to more than two years of forced labor in the case of arson at a collection point for “humanitarian aid of the Northern Military District”

The Sovetsky District Court of Novosibirsk sentenced Krasnoyarsk resident Pavel Oleinikov to two years and three months of forced labor in the case of arson of an administrative building. This was reported by the press service of the court.

The man was found guilty of attempted destruction of someone else's property, resulting in significant damage (Part 3 of Article 30 of the Criminal Code; Part 2 of Article 167 of the Criminal Code). According to the verdict, 10% of his salary during forced labor will be withheld in favor of the state. Sibiryak admitted his guilt, his case was considered in a special manner.

According to the prosecution, Oleynikov was looking for work and in a telegram he met “a person unidentified during the investigation,” who, according to security forces, offered him to throw a Molotov cocktail at the window of an unnamed municipal organization for money. The NGS publication writes that the building housed a collection point for “humanitarian aid from the Northern Military District.”

As a result of arson on the night of March 6, a computer, laptop, printer, four tables, five chairs, a shelving unit, a closet and a telephone totaling almost 125 thousand rubles were burned in the organization’s office. The fire was extinguished by employees of a private security company who arrived at the scene after the alarm went off.

Oleinikov’s arrest became known on March 10. Security forces claim that during a search in his rented apartment, “7 metal cans with liquid used for refilling lighters” were found.
