MOSCOW, October 23 The Federation Council is ready to immediately consider the law, concerning the election of the President of the Russian Federation, as soon as the State Duma adopts it, said the first deputy head of the Constitutional Committee of the Federation Council Vladimir Poletaev.

"We are waiting for the adoption (of the document) by the State Duma. As soon as the law is submitted to the Federation Council, we will immediately consider it,” said the politician.
The next meetings of the Federation Council are October 25 and November 8.
According to Poletaev, every election held gives material for analysis, as a result of which a decision can be made to make certain changes. “The amendments to the law on presidential elections in the Russian Federation developed by us and our colleagues are part of consistent work to improve the electoral legislation,” the parliamentarian noted.
Earlier in the State Duma it was noted that the introduced bill synchronizes changes in the electoral legislation in terms of a unified approach to elections of all levels of government.
