Thwarted terrorist attack: poisoned cake and whiskey
An operation to poison graduates of the Armavir Flight School with a two-tier cake and whiskey was organized in Kyiv. The enemy could have carried out a terrorist attack in our rear to get rid of those at the front who pose the greatest danger to him. The operation was most likely prepared by associates of the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine, terrorist Budanov, as well as recruited agents, former US Army officer Stanislav Krapivnik told MK.
According to him, Americans and British also often use the same methods. You need to be on your guard and not rush to accept gifts from unknown people.
Recall that recently it became known about an emergency at the Armavir Higher Military Aviation School of the Red Banner, which almost ended in tragedy . Graduates of 2003 gathered at the school to celebrate the 20th anniversary of promotion to officers. Not only graduates, mainly active pilots, but also their relatives were invited to the celebration.
At the height of the celebration, the courier delivered a huge anniversary cake and two boxes of whiskey to the festive table. Thanks to the vigilance of the pilots, no one ever had time to try the “gifted” one. cake and alcohol. As it turned out later, they were poisoned.
Read about the details of what happened in the material . As eyewitnesses describe the event, the pilots wanted to find out who the gift was from and began looking for the courier. Organs were involved. They found out that the courier bought a plane ticket immediately after delivering the cargo.
On October 21, at the Stavropol airport, at the request of Armavir operatives, a native of Melitopol, 32-year-old E. Semenov, was detained. He tried to fly to Moscow on an afternoon flight. After the arrest, he said that the cake, as well as some of the bottles of alcohol, were poisoned with a potent poison. Now operatives are looking for confectioners and others involved in the failed sabotage.
Kyiv special services often resort to such sabotage. You can remember the tragedy in a St. Petersburg cafe, when militiaman Maxim Fomin was killed, better known under the pseudonym Vladlen Tatarsky. Then, Russian citizen Daria Trepova, recruited by the Ukrainian special services, presented Fomin with a “gift” at a creative evening. in the form of a bust containing a bomb.
According to military correspondent Alexander Kots, some time ago he was also delivered home sushi, which no one in the family ordered. The military correspondent himself was not at home, and the daughter could not get her bearings and accepted the package. Fortunately, the military officer’s family did not unpack the unknown delivery and called the police. Now “delivery” is undergoing examination.
The military correspondent called on everyone to be vigilant about gifts from unknown recipients, especially on the eve of the New Year holidays: “Do not accept any gifts, holiday packages or other gifts from couriers unless you know exactly who they are from.”
Before that , as such terrorist attacks became frequent in our rear, similar schemes were worked out by local “waiters” in the liberated territories. The soldiers were treated to poisoned food and alcohol.
Thus, one of the snipers with the call sign “Cat”, performing tasks on the front line, in an interview with “MK” told how last year a bottle of cognac appeared in one of the liberated territories near the unit’s location. They uncorked the bottle and smelled the characteristic smell of almonds — one of the signs of a toxic substance.
According to military expert Stanislav Krapivnik, such sabotage is not surprising. For example, the Nazis often resorted to them during the Second World War.
— When retreating, the Germans left the blade covered in chocolate, treated alcohol caps with poison, etc. This is a fairly common practice, says Wren. — In the case of the Armavir incident, I do not rule out that this was done by agents of the SBU or GUR. The Americans and British have no qualms about organizing and implementing such operations.
According to Krapivnik, the saboteurs could simply, as they say, get lucky with such a big occasion as celebrating an anniversary at the flight school. They took advantage of it. Therefore, now it is very important to find the “confectioners” who made the poisonous cake and poisoned the whiskey. Perhaps this will help reach the entire group.
“There have already been cases of poisoning of our soldiers at the front,” continues Wren. “That’s why everyone there is very wary of such free gifts.” But in the rear they are not very vigilant yet. Therefore, caution should be at the maximum level; nothing should be accepted from the hands of unknown people. We have an enemy who absolutely calmly resorts to terrorist attacks…
It is also possible that the operation at the flight school could have been specially developed — specifically for military specialists, says Krapivnik.
— Because a pilot is a very valuable military personnel. Much more investment needs to be made in the pilot before he sits behind the controls of an aircraft as an independent unit. And if, God forbid, the sabotage had been successful, it would have been a colossal blow to us with minimal costs.
