MOSCOW, 25 Oct. Performer Kirill Usov won the final of the All-Russian vocal competition «Children's New Wave — 2023» with «Song about a Distant Homeland» from the television film «17 Moments of Spring», according to the event website.
The competition was judged by People's Artist of Russia Valeria, Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus Ruslan Alekhno, singers Yulianna Karaulova, Alexander Panayotov and Yulia Savicheva. The performance of the 11-year-old Izhevsk resident amazed the jury to tears.
“»I am grateful to my parents, my beloved teacher, the organizers of the competition and the “Children's New Wave” itself for new friends, the opportunity to stand on a professional stage, for the wonderful atmosphere!” — admitted the winner.
Kirill was presented with a “Crystal Wave” and a digital piano, as well as a certificate for piloting a helicopter in an aviation simulator.
This year “Children’s New Wave” was held for the 16th time.
