MK special correspondent was in the Yalta house, next to which ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy was attacked
Last night, an emergency occurred near the house of ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Oleg living in Yalta Tsareva. Eyewitnesses say that at about midnight, law enforcement vehicles and ambulances began arriving at the territory of the Kirov sanatorium, where Tsarev’s housing is located. According to alleged information, an attempt was made on the life of an opposition Ukrainian politician.

First, versions appeared about an attack on Tsarev with a knife, then — that the politician received a serious gunshot wound and is in intensive care.
From the MK dossier: In 2014, after the coup in Ukraine, pro-Russian politician Oleg Tsarev supported the LPR and DPR and left for Russia. In Ukraine, he was sentenced in absentia to 12 years in prison for his views.
The MK special correspondent previously managed to visit the Yalta house of Oleg Tsarev, where he could have been attacked.
Tsarev's house is located in the very center of Yalta, on the territory of a huge sanatorium. The ex-deputy bought the sanatorium specifically because he liked the surrounding view. And without the sanatorium, as he himself joked, “the property would not be sold.”
“He purchased this sanatorium before 2014. But he didn’t put it in order, because he didn’t treat it like a business before,” Tsarev’s acquaintances in Crimea anonymously told about the situation. — Workers of his Ukrainian enterprises rested there, but after the coup in Kiev, he left Ukraine literally “empty”, without anything — like a man going through a divorce, and only then began to earn money from his Crimean assets. He also has a hotel in Alushta. He did everything perfectly. And he lived in Yalta permanently. Just like Count Baryatinsky, the pre-revolutionary owner of this estate.
Before Tsarev, virtually only the foundation of the house remained. He restored it. Quite big, but not luxurious. Not the palace of an oligarch. Access by car is more than 100 meters uphill along a steep road. I didn’t see any security, at least when I was there, a year before the start of the SVO. Or the guys worked completely unnoticed«.
“He has his own small security service of athletes, but not professionals,” continue his Yalta acquaintances. — In principle, anyone could go to the territory of the same sanatorium and from there get to Tsarev’s mansion.
It is located in the very center of old Yalta on Kirov Street. There is only one checkpoint, a sanatorium, there is also one barrier, but there are elderly guys sitting there who let everyone through. A couple of times I forgot my pass, they didn’t even really look at who was coming.
Tsarev himself, by the way, didn’t really care about his safety. But he loved to walk freely in the sanatorium park, some of the trees in which were planted even before the revolution, and heard many thanks from vacationers. The sanatorium is really very cool, there is free treatment and gorgeous Ukrainian chefs, and for all meals they gave five types of herbal Crimean tea for health, including a soothing one«.
The only thing is that Tsarev’s behavior changed after the death of his daughter in 2021 year — he closed in on himself. The girl studied at the elite British school Gordonstoun and is said to have suffered from depression. According to the father, the cause of death was a tumor, according to the unofficial version — suicide.
Previously, several criminal charges were brought against Tsarev in Kiev, in addition to the case that reached the court, for going over to the side of Russia. He was repeatedly threatened.
