It is noted that during a working trip to the Donetsk People's Republic, Trutnev presented awards to war correspondents who were awarded the All-Russian Literary Prize named after. VC. Arsenyev.
“The nomination “The Fate of a Man in the Northern Military District” recognizes the merits of the military journalist and political commentator Rostislav Zhuravlev, who died in July of this year in the zone of a special military operation. The certificate will be awarded to his relatives,” the message says.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, everyone should know and understand that now our guys are fighting and shedding blood in the Northern Military District, and they need to be helped. He noted that there is an important direction in this common cause — to tell people the truth about what is happening on the front line, how liberated territories are being restored.

“Military correspondents report news from the front, often despite the mortal risk, they talk about people — residents of liberated territories, volunteers, military personnel, mobilized. Journalists have an important task to awaken the country. It seems to me that now we need to work differently, treat ourselves with a different degree of exactingness. And journalists help to realize this. The award is gratitude to the military commissars for their feat,» Trutnev's press service quotes.

It is clarified that the prize was awarded to two of the four winners of the second special session of the All-Russian Literary Prize named after. VC. Arsenyev: to Russia Today correspondent Andrei Filatov in the “Steps to Victory” nomination, to special correspondent of the Izvestia International Research Center Semyon Eremin in the Trutnev special nomination for regular coverage of a special military operation. In the near future, an award will be presented to the journalist, author and director of the documentary film “Brave” Olesya Shigina in the category “We are waiting for you!”
The decision to establish special sessions of the prize was made on the initiative of Trutnev in February of this year to encourage authors of works related to a special military operation.

At the end of July in the Zaporozhye region, four journalists who were preparing reports on Ukraine’s use of prohibited cluster munitions came under Ukrainian artillery fire. During the strike, these prohibited projectiles were used.

As a result of the shelling, military correspondent Zhuravlev was killed, correspondent Konstantin Mikhalchevsky and Izvestia employees Roman Polshakov and Dmitry Shikov were injured.
