
ST. PETERSBURG, October 27. Eleven people received an intestinal infection after visiting the Ivori Garden restaurant on 8th Sovetskaya Street in St. Petersburg, eight of them were diagnosed with salmonella, the city department of Rospotrebnadzor reported.
«As of October 26… 11 cases of intestinal infection were registered among people who consumed Ivori Garden finished culinary products. Salmonella was detected in 8 sick people based on laboratory tests,» the message says. According to Rospotrebnadzor, which organized a sanitary and epidemiological investigation of the situation, salmonella was also found in food samples from the restaurant.
The Smolninsky District Court will consider the protocol of Rospotrebnadzor on the suspension of the activities of this establishment on November 1. The department is also ready to act in court in defense of the injured restaurant visitors.
Ivori Garden, judging by information from websites writing about restaurants, was opened a year ago — in October 2022.
