MOSCOW, October 27 The Bank of Russia does not rule out another increase or maintaining the key rate at the current level this year, said the head of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, Elvira Nabiullina.
“»As for this year, we gave a forecast for the key rate until the end of this year… We have one meeting left on the key rate. It assumes both the possibility of maintaining the rate and the possibility of raising it,» she said.
Earlier on Friday, the Bank of Russia unexpectedly raised the key rate by 2 percentage points at once — to 15% per annum, which was the maximum since the beginning of May last year.
