In the Moscow City Court, a debate was held in the case of Akhadzhon Zokhidov, accused of treason and preparation for smuggling, Mediazona learned about this.
At the same time, neither the defense nor the prosecution disclose which one. The prosecutor's office requested punishment for Zokhidova (Article 275 of the Criminal Code and Part 1 of Article 30 of the Criminal Code, paragraph “c” of Part 2 of Article 226.1 of the Criminal Code). The verdict in the case will be announced on November 2 at 11:30.
What exactly Zokhidov was preparing to transport across the border is unknown, as are other details of his case. According to Article 226.1 of the Criminal Code, these could be potent, poisonous, explosive or radioactive substances, firearms or parts thereof, explosives, ammunition or other weapons, as well as technologies or scientific and technical information that can be used for military purposes.
As Mediazona drew attention, in 2021 an individual entrepreneur was registered in the name of Zokhidov Akhadzhon Makhmadzhonovich in the village of Brekhovo in Khimki near Moscow. The type of activity of the micro-enterprise is passenger taxis.
According to the only appeal against Zokhidov’s arrest, published on the website of the Moscow courts, a criminal case was opened against him on September 12, 2022. Then the man was detained, and the next day he was sent to a pre-trial detention center.
