The Zelenogradsky District Court of Moscow arrested a student for five days MIET< /span> Daniil Voitovich because of the cover of his student card with a white-red-white flag. The decision was published on the court's website.
Voitovich was found guilty of publicly displaying prohibited symbols (Part 1 of Article 20.3 of the Administrative Code). As follows from the court's decision, he showed his student ID card, which had a white-red-white flag on the cover, three times: twice at the university and once again at the train station when buying a train ticket.
According to the police, The white-red-white flag is a symbol of the armed formation “Regiment named after Kastus Kalinovsky”. This organization, as security officials believe, has become the “Belarusian branch” of the “Freedom of Russia” legion, which is recognized as terrorist. In addition to the arrest, the court decided to confiscate the cover of the student ID.
In addition to the case under Article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offences, the court examined the protocol against Voitovich under the article on “discrediting” the Russian army (Part 1 of Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). In this case, the student was fined 35 thousand rubles. The reason for the administrative prosecution was that at the end of September, Voitovich, in one of the university classrooms, said “Citizens of the Russian Federation and the government of the Russian Federation are fascists, unlike the citizens of Ukraine” and shouted the slogan “Glory to Ukraine.”
As the telegram channel “Caution, News” writes, Voitovich is a first-year student. Administrative cases were opened against him after a denunciation by university employee Farid Abdullin, who was responsible for mobilization preparation.
