I came to the Kremlin and said to the former boss, the head of Roscosmos, «Sorry, I misspoke, I said project “Sphere,” Putin recalled at a meeting with young specialists in the space industry.
According to him, in response, the ex-head of Roscosmos said that the “Sphere” project already exists. “I say: how? I made a mistake, but he says no, we have already rewritten everything. I haven’t even got there yet, and it’s already called “Sphere,” Putin noted.
The President added, that after this “Ether” remained “Sphere.” “Don’t rewrite it back, let it be “Sphere,” he said.
Putin said that initially this project was done with state support, which will continue to be provided.
