KOROLEV (Moscow region), October 26 Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested thinking about Roscosmos services were provided on a paid basis, and the funds received were used for the development of satellite constellations.
At a meeting on the development of the rocket and space industry on Thursday, the head of state noted that now government agencies, as a rule, receive Roscosmos services and products free of charge, so it is difficult for private companies in this area to gain access to government orders.
“»Of course, this practice distorts competition and deprives Roscosmos itself of motivation to work on improving the quality of products. Therefore, I propose to think about having Roscosmos services provided on a paid basis, and the funds received being used for the development of satellite constellations,» Putin said .
