KOROLEV (Moscow region), October 26Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the idea of creating a national competition for rocket and space industry projects, but suggested that they think again about its slogan.
During a meeting between the President and young scientists and specialists in the space industry, one of the participants proposed creating a national competition for technical projects in the rocket and space industry in the Russian Federation; the winners of the competition could be supported by grants. He also proposed a motto for such a competition: “Every business is driven by people who are burning with the desire to move this very business.”
«»The idea is good, the slogan is kind of long… cut off (part — ed.), make it bright. The idea itself, I think it seems very good. We need to support it,» Putin said.
He noted that there are many good initiatives in the country in various fields related to the search for the most promising proposals and the people who formulate these proposals.
““Keeping in mind the importance and significance of the industry, of course, it is possible and necessary to organize, let’s do it. I wonder why not? With pleasure. I think that this will attract the attention of thousands of people and raise the prestige of space activities,” — said the president.
