MOSCOW, October 27 It is important that full-scale work on the creation of the Russian Orbital Station (ROS) begins in 2024, otherwise Russia will have a “break” in space flights, said the head of Roscosmos, Yuri Borisov, on the Rossiya 24 TV channel.
“It was important for us to resolve the issue of starting work on the creation of the Russian orbital station, and it is very important that this work begins on a full scale from next year, otherwise, if we delay this issue, we simply will not have time to create the future station, and we will have a break,” Borisov said.
It is planned that the first ROS module will be launched in 2027, and after within five years, construction in orbit will be completed. Russia intends to withdraw from the ISS project after 2028.
