MOSCOW, October 27 The grand opening of the international wildlife festival “Golden Turtle” was held in Moscow in the New Tretyakov Gallery on Friday, as part of the ceremony the winners and finalists of the competition were awarded, correspondent reports.
«Today we are opening the 17th season of the international photo competition, the international environmental and educational competition «Golden Turtle», the project, mission and task of which are aimed at changing the environmental consciousness of people through art,» said Andrey, president of the «Golden Turtle» platform Sukhinin.
He noted that over 45 thousand people are expected to be present at the site this year, and over six thousand schoolchildren in Moscow and the Moscow region will be covered by educational programs.
As part of the ceremony, the winners and finalists of the international competition «Golden Turtle» were awarded. More than 70 photographers from 16 countries became winners and laureates in three categories “Photography”, “Painting”, “Eco-posters” and in 20 nominations, and ten winners were announced in the special category “Moscow Wildlife”.
