Residents of Khasavyurt staged a gathering near the local Flamingo hotel after reports that “refugees from Israel” were allegedly being accommodated in the establishment. Photos and videos of the gathering, which took place on the evening of October 28, were published by ChP Dagestan.
According to the telegram channel, the day before, residents of Khasavyurt noticed near the hotel “a face similar in appearance to an Israeli citizen” — a man in a gray suit and with a long beard.
As a result, in the evening, near The hotel gathered “concerned residents” who demanded that all guests come to the windows to look at them. When the guests did not do this, stones were thrown into the building, writes “ChP Dagestan”.
The police also arrived at the Flamingo. The Ministry of Internal Affairs allowed several people from the crowd to enter the hotel to make sure that there were no Jews there. After this, those gathered decided to also inspect the Kiev Hotel, where they also did not find any Israeli citizens.
The Telegram channel “PE Kavkaz” reports that after the gathering, a notice was posted near the Flamingo Hotel stating that Jews do not live there and entry is prohibited for them.

Messages about that refugees from Israel allegedly arrived in Khasavyurt were published, among other things, in the telegram channel “Morning Dagestan”. This channel was launched by former State Duma deputy Ilya Ponomarev, who left for Ukraine, as part of his project “Morning of February”.
In September 2022, security forces detained administrators of Dagestan telegram channels; several people were accused of running the “Morning Dagestan” public page.
