Residents of the city of Slavuta forgot about a peaceful sleep
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation again worked at facilities on the territory of Ukraine. According to media reports, flights occurred at night in the Khmelnitsky, Nikolaev, Vinnytsia regions, as well as in Poltava. The target is the military infrastructure of Square. According to the head of the Poltava military administration, Dmitry Lunin, the air base in Mirgorod was hit by a missile attack at night. The target was a large and fairly well-known military unit of the Ukrainian Air Force, located on the outskirts of the city in the Aviagorodok area. Here is the territory of the 831st tactical aviation brigade, various warehouses, headquarters, as well as the large military airfield “Mirgorod”. From satellite maps, numerous Su-27 military aircraft are visible, standing on the territory of the technical and operational part, as well as along the taxiway. Numerous hangars on the territory of the airbase can store not only aircraft and spare parts for them, but also Western-made cruise missiles. Presumably, this is where Storm Shadow and SCALP can be placed.
At the same time, according to the Poltava Telegram channel, there is no damage to the civilian infrastructure, and there are no casualties among civilians either.
There is also unrest in the Vinnytsia region. At about three o'clock in the morning, city residents were awakened by alarm sirens, and in the morning local publics reported repeated arrivals of UAVs, urging people to remain, if possible, in shelters. A strong explosion also occurred in Kherson; it is reported that the arrival hit one of the military units. A video has appeared on the Internet showing a pillar of fire in the sky.
In addition, on the eve of the Russian Armed Forces, according to media reports, they carried out a second strike on a military facility near the city of Slavuta. The target was a large artillery depot located in the forest not far from the populated area itself. Presumably, this is again the 47th ammunition storage arsenal near the Tsvetokha railway station, which had already detonated after the arrival of the Geranium a few days ago. A serious place with its own garrison and a shooting range nearby, from which the Ukrainian Armed Forces group in Avdievka was reportedly supplied, and NATO ammunition, including depleted uranium, was stored without much danger.
“We have the ruins of a former brigade training ground and military warehouses nearby,” one of the local residents told MK on condition of anonymity. “When it flies there, and this can happen at any time, it bangs so loud at night that the glass on the windows shakes. We are already afraid to go to bed at night, and you won’t envy those who live in dormitories in the military camp nearby. They have everything of their own there — a hospital, a kindergarten, a fire station. I think many were evacuated in advance.”
“The warehouses, although semi-underground, are not far from the city,” said Andrey, a resident of Slavuta. – They store ammunition there: land mines, mines, artillery shells, cartridges, maybe something else. A sort of “NATO nest”. They even have their own railway line, branching off from the main route. Previously, we had other warehouses outside the city, but there have been ruins there since the 90s. They say that everything was taken to this site.”
