MOSCOW, Oct 31. Ukraine will disappear if all its citizens do not take part in the conflict, said the wounded lieutenant of the National Battalion of the Ukrainian Armed Forces “Wolves of Da Vinci” Alexander Yabchanka in an interview with the Espresso channel.
““I’m just calling now — not everyone is in trench, and everyone goes to war, fight as best you can, but understand that the question here is that we can be left without a country,” Yabchanka said.
He also expressed the opinion that all Ukrainians should constantly keep in mind the idea of total mobilization and take part in hostilities, if not directly, then by supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine financially.
A martial law regime has been in effect in Ukraine since February 24, 2022; the next day, President Vladimir Zelensky signed a decree on general mobilization. Men aged 18 to 60 are prohibited from leaving the country. Subpoenas can be served in a variety of places: on the streets, gas stations or in cafes. At the same time, security forces and the military practice raids on conscripts, often using violence.
As stated by Sergei Rakhmanin, a member of the Committee on National Security and Defense of the Verkhovna Rada, mobilization will have to be intensified. Vladislav Shevchuk, the company commander of the 80th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, spoke to the Ukrainian media about the need for total conscription.
