During “Conversations about important things,” schoolchildren will be told about the “feat of the crew of the Alyosha tank,” which “stopped 10 units of equipment” of the Ukrainian Armed Forces

During the “Conversations about the Important”, dedicated to the Day of National Unity, schoolchildren will be told about the “feat of the crew of the Alyosha tank”, which “stopped 10 units of equipment” of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; they also plan to instill in children “readiness to defend the homeland” . This follows from the classroom scenario for high school students.

The materials for elementary, middle, and high school students have roughly the same goals for teachers to achieve during “What Matters.” We are talking about the development in children of “cultural identity,” love and respect for traditions, a sense of unity with the multinational people of Russia, as well as the formation of “readiness to defend the homeland.”

According to the announcement on the website “Conversations about Important Things” «, classes were supposed to take place today, but some schools are currently on vacation. It is likely that some schoolchildren will have classes next week. Students of the first and second grades will be told about the origin of the National Unity Day holiday and the differences between the peoples of Russia.

In lesson scenarios for middle school students, more attention is paid to the concept of “homeland” and love for it. For example, children from grades 5-7 will be asked to read Rasul Gamzatov’s poem “About the Motherland.” “In moments of good fortune/In hours of triumph/What are our thoughts and our words about?/About the homeland, only about the homeland,” the work says.

For schoolchildren in grades 10 and 11, teachers will have to read Andrei Dementyev’s poem “Russia,” which makes no mention of the country’s peoples or cultural characteristics. Teachers are advised to connect the work with the theme of the class hour using the word “great”, with which the poet described the country, as well as mentioning the word “multinational” in the class question.

After a short story about how the people’s militia in 1612 Patriarch Hermogenes helped this year by blessing the warriors, high school students need to answer the question of when “the whole country united to protect its lands, its regions and its interests.” Among the proposed answers are the Great Patriotic War and the modern war in Ukraine.

The next section of the lesson is devoted to the “feat of the crew of the Alyosha tank.” “In early June, the crew of the Alyosha tank under the command of senior lieutenant Rasim Baksikov stopped 10 units of equipment in the Ukrainian Armed Forces column. The battle lasted 40 minutes: in the first minutes of the battle, our tankers hit both enemy T-72B tanks, and in the next half hour — the M113 armored personnel carrier and five American MaxxPro vehicles,” the teacher must say.

The mention of this story in the lesson materials is explained by the fact that among the tank crew members there were military personnel of “different nationalities — Russians, Kazakhs, Yakuts.” Another section of the presentation is devoted to the speech of President Vladimir Putin. After it, students are invited to talk more about the cultural characteristics of the peoples of Russia.

“Today it is the duty of every Russian to be ready to stand up for the defense of their homeland, to defend the sovereignty and dignity of the people of Russia and the Russian state, to preserve and defend historical truth,” the teacher should be told during the demonstration of one of the final slides.< /p>

The methodological recommendations for high school contain an advertisement for the travel show “Nationalism.ru”. The project description says: “Popular TV presenters will answer many interesting questions. Why do Caucasians love low «Priors»? What kind of khuurdig do Kalmyks drink? How do Tatars maintain their youth? And do Georgians really eat khachapuri every day?”

After the single voting day, “Conversations about Important Things” dedicated to the elections were held in Russian schools. Primary school students were asked to choose the head of a fairy tale country from five candidates: Karabas-Barabas, Cinderella, Alice the Fox, Baba Yaga and Winnie the Pooh.
