MOSCOW, November 1. A Muscovite who, while intoxicated, threatened to throw his daughter from the 13th floor, was sentenced to 9.5 years in prison, reports Telegram -channel of the capital's prosecutor's office.
An incident that shocked the public occurred in the fall of 2022: on Gorodetskaya Street in Moscow, a man, standing on the 13th floor balcony, threatened to throw out his one-year-old daughter. The police arrived quickly, while the rescuers were opening the door, climbed over the neighboring balcony and saved the girl. For this they were later awarded by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev. A criminal case of attempted murder was opened against the girl's father.
“»The court rendered a verdict in a criminal case against a 28-year-old resident of the capital, Pavel Kotilevsky, who was previously repeatedly convicted. He was convicted under Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph «c» of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder of a minor)… The court sentenced Kotilevsky to 9 years 6 months of imprisonment with serving the sentence in a maximum security correctional colony,” the message says.
It was established that on September 12, 2022, while in a state of drug intoxication, Kotilevsky, being with his daughter born in 2021 in apartment of a residential building on Gorodetskaya Street, went out onto the balcony, where he hung the girl over the railing of the 13th floor balcony and threatened to throw her down. His actions were stopped by law enforcement officers.
It is emphasized that the man did not admit guilt.
