NOVO-OGAREVO, October 31 President of Russia Vladimir Putin held a meeting with the head of the Vologda region Oleg Kuvshinnikov and Georgy Filimonov, thanked Kuvshinnikov for his work in this post and wished success to Filimonov.

The appointed acting governor of the Vologda region, Filimonov, at the meeting asked the president to support the ideas that will be presented in the new program for the socio-economic development of the region. He noted that he also counts on the support of Kuvshinnikov’s team.
Putin responded by saying that the region needs to “fit into all the programs that the government is implementing to achieve national development goals.”
