YEREVAN, November 1. The exhibition “At the Foot of Ararat” opened in Yerevan. The National Center of Aesthetics named after Henrikh Igityan shows the works of Russian photographers, the correspondent reports.
“
"This is a project within the framework of the media assembly “Russia-Armenia: partnership for the future.” Russian colleagues came to Armenia and talked about how they see the country and its inhabitants. The photographers traveled around the republic for six days. The best works received their places at the exhibition,” said the organizer of the forum, Secretary of the Union of Journalists of Russia Ashot Dzhazoyan.
At the exhibition, Vil Ravilov (Prokopyevsk), Denis Yakovlev (Krasnodar), Danil Savchenko (Volgograd), Anna Sadovnikova (Sevastopol), Maria Sherikh (St. Petersburg) and Yuri Molodkovets (St. Petersburg) showed their works.
“
"An incredibly friendly country, we were greeted every day with a laid table, national dances and songs. This cannot but leave a positive impression. As a photographer, I was interested in the architecture, history and local people — incredibly colorful. Every time I communicated with the locals, I lived their history with them. We filmed for six days in different locations throughout Armenia,” said Danil Savchenko.

In addition, a photographer from Volgograd spoke in more detail about one of the heroes.

“I was especially impressed by the potter Andranik Manukyan. He was at the front during two stages of the acute conflict between Yerevan and Baku, but remained bright and clean. He opened a workshop and teaches pottery to children and teenagers. He even brought it to the market — he sells his products. After difficult periods, he was able to take such a bright path,” shared Danil Savchenko.

Armenian journalists also took part in the media assembly, and their works were also exhibited at the Igityan Center. These are photographs of Anna Kustova, Elizaveta Hayrapetyan, Eliza Krikorian, Arsen Sargsyan and Alisa Grigoryan.
“
"Each Russian photographer saw Armenia in his own unique way. They conveyed it aesthetically, soulfully and brightly. In the photographs there is an interest in the hero, details, landscape, which is very valuable. They noticed something that might seem invisible at first glance. We fell in love with our homeland and its culture even more,” noted Eliza Krikorian in a conversation with her.
